Project Details |

Logo design for runners store. Art direction, Design, Layout, Prepress. Tools: Adobe Creative Suite: Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator. Font family: Road Kill

The Client |

Jim Angelopoulos is a local San Jose businessman and owner and operator of a line of Scrambl’z breakfast restaurants. As an avid runner, Jim ventured out to open a store for runners and would include shoes, apparel, and sponsorships of 5K and 10K charity fun runs.

The Solution |

We wanted to create a logo the would represent the idea of running free in the outdoors. The typeface family of Road Kill, a┬áliteral interpretation of rough and worn road lettering, to be used as the main word mark logo. Arial Black Regular was chosen for any tag lines. The logo features a dash over the “O” in GO and a dash underneath the “U” in Run. The meaning behind this is that runners go “O”ver and “U”nder things as they do their thing.
